And I can say I feel like poop today, which is a good thing!
I found out almost 2 weeks ago that we are expecting baby #3, and the funny thing is we are due on my sister Kristin’s birthday. Yep, Feb. 23rd 2012!
One of the biggest things I am shocked about is the bloat! I can not believe how bloated my stomach is. Now I am fluffy, I know that but my stomach looks like it did when I was 24 weeks pregnant with Sarah.
I have to say that I am still very scared about having another miscarriage. The fear is so big that I haven’t even told very many people, and we have not told the girls yet either.
I have my first midwife appointment on Tuesday the 28th and I’ll be 5w5d. My miscarriage I was 5w6d so if I make it past 6 weeks I will start feeling slightly better. I won’t feel better about it all until after we see a heartbeat, and even then I already want to skip to the 2nd Trimester!
Your Baby in Week 5 of Pregnancy
Your baby now resembles a teeny tadpole (complete with a tiny tail) and is about the size of an orange seed. The circulatory (or blood) system, along with the heart, is the first part of that tiny body to be functional; and as your baby’s heart starts to form, you may even be able to see it beating on an early ultrasound. Another part of your little tadpole that is under construction: the neural tube, which will eventually become your baby’s brain and spinal cord.
